Job Description

This is a remote position.

As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will assist in promoting Weibermacht Cares' Wellness Day Program across social media platforms, community groups, and email marketing campaigns. You will play a key role in raising awareness, engaging with audiences, and creating content that showcases the power of giving back. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing while positively impacting caregivers' lives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation & Social Media Management:
    • Assist in developing content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, to promote the Wellness Day Program and other Weibermacht Cares initiatives.
    • Create eye-catching posts, infographics, videos, and stories that engage the audience and spread the message of our charitable programs.
    • Respond to comments and messages on social media to monitor and manage interactions and foster positive engagement with our online community.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Assist in promoting the Wellness Day Program to diverse community groups, caregiver networks, veterans’ organizations, and local community organizations.
    • Research and identify opportunities to collaborate with influencers and community leaders to spread the word about Weibermacht Cares.
    • Participate in virtual and in-person events to help raise awareness and build community connections.
  • Email Marketing:
    • Help develop email marketing campaigns highlighting the Wellness Day Program and other Weibermacht Cares initiatives.
    • Draft email content, create newsletters, and segment email lists to engage with current and potential partners, caregivers, and the broader community.
    • Track email marketing performance and assist in optimizing campaigns for better engagement.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    • Track social media and email marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improving reach and engagement.
    • Monitor campaign performance and assist in developing reports on key metrics like engagement, follower growth, and audience interactions.


What You’ll Learn:
  • Hands-on experience in creating and managing social media marketing campaigns.
  • Best practices in community engagement and online marketing strategies.
  • Content creation, including graphic design, copywriting, and storytelling.
  • Email marketing tools and strategies, including segmentation, automation, and performance tracking.
  • How to use analytics tools to monitor and optimize social media and email marketing campaigns.
  • How to contribute to a cause-driven organization that values servant leadership and community giving.


Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or recent graduate).
  • Passion for social media marketing, community engagement, and charitable initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity in developing engaging content and campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and contribute to a mission-driven organization.
  • Knowledge or interest in the challenges faced by caregivers of Dementia/Alzheimer’s patients, veterans, or underserved communities is a plus.
